Barn Swallows waiting for a meal
I had to work for this. They say patience and timing is everything in wildlife photography. I believe it now.
The mom and dad barn swallows fly around all day long in search of food for their babies. They return every few minutes with some food, usually insects. Over a period of an hour I waited for the right moment to snap the shutter. I think this tells it all.
